Build Log #2: Rebuilding Itiner’s UI

The rebuild was about making the interface calmer and easier to scan.

Workflow software should reduce stress, not add it, so the visual hierarchy had to work harder than any decorative detail.

The biggest improvement came from simplifying decision points and clarifying what mattered first.

Good UI for this kind of product should feel almost invisible when it works.

If the user has to think too hard about how to use the interface, the product has already lost some of its value. Calm UI is not about being minimal for the sake of it. It is about lowering the cognitive tax of the workflow.

That kind of design respects the fact that workflow software is often used under pressure. The user wants confidence, not a maze.
