Designing Nucleus CSS

Nucleus CSS came from wanting a lightweight system that did not fight the builder.

A lot of CSS frameworks accumulate complexity until they become more work than they save. I wanted the opposite.

The design goal was to keep the mental model small. Clear primitives, predictable behavior, and enough structure to move quickly.

That kind of system works when it helps you ship without adding another layer of confusion.
