Distribution Matters More Than Features

People love features because features are easy to see. Distribution is harder to feel until it is missing.

A good product that nobody sees does not matter much. A mediocre product with distribution can still learn, improve, and grow.

That is why distribution is not something you bolt on at the end. It shapes what you build and who it reaches.

The best products are often easy to talk about because the team understood from the start that the message had to travel.

Distribution is not just marketing in the shallow sense. It is packaging, positioning, channels, community, and repeat visibility.

If the market cannot find the work, the work might as well not exist.

That is why distribution should be thought of as part of the product, not a separate growth task. If the value is hard to explain, the product has a built-in handicap before it even reaches people.

When distribution is weak, every other problem gets harder to solve because nobody is giving the product a fair chance. The better the distribution path, the easier it becomes to learn, improve, and compound the work.

The product and the distribution channel should support each other. If they do not, the company spends too much time being discovered and not enough time being used.
