AI does not erase the need for developers. It changes what good developers spend their time on.

The best developers will use AI to move faster, explore more options, and spend less time on the parts of the work that do not require originality.

That is not a threat. It is a forcing function. The boring work gets automated, and the bar for taste goes up.
